2. Detailed Selection Process & Exam Pattern
The selection is done in three stages:
Stage I: Screening Test (Objective)
- Total Marks: 100 Marks
- Duration: 2 Hours
- Question Type: MCQs (Multiple Choice)
- Negative Marking: 1/4 (0.25) mark penalty.
- Language: Bilingual (English & Hindi)
- Note: This test is for shortlisting only; marks are not added to the final merit.
Stage II: Subject Knowledge Test (Descriptive)
- Total Marks: 150 Marks
- Duration: 3 Hours
- Nature: Subject-specific (Civil/Electrical/Mechanical) and Descriptive.
Stage III: Interview/Personality Test
- Marks: 12.5% weightage in final merit.

A. Screening Test (General Aptitude)
- General English: Grammar, Error Spotting, Fill in the Blanks, Synonyms/Antonyms, Comprehension.
- General Studies: Indian Polity, Economy, Geography, and Science.
- Haryana Special: History, Culture, Economy, and Language of Haryana.
- Aptitude & Reasoning: Logical reasoning, Analytical ability, Data Interpretation, and Mental Ability.
B. Technical Syllabus (Subject Specific)
- Civil Engineering: * Structures: Mechanics, RCC, Steel Design, Structural Analysis.
- Geotechnical: Soil Mechanics and Foundation Engineering.
- Water Resources: Fluid Mechanics, Hydrology, Irrigation.
- Infrastructure: Highway Engineering, Surveying, Environmental Engineering.
- Electrical Engineering: Network Theory, Electrical Machines, Power Systems, Control Systems, Analog & Digital Electronics, EM Fields.
- Mechanical Engineering: Thermodynamics, Heat Transfer, Theory of Machines, Fluid Mechanics, Manufacturing Processes, Strength of Materials.
4. Eligibility Criteria
- Educational Qualification: Degree in relevant Engineering branch from a recognized university.
- Essential Requirement: Knowledge of Hindi or Sanskrit up to Matric (10th) or Higher level.
- Age Limit: 18 to 42 years (as of Feb 12, 2026).
