SSC JE Notification 2023

As per Staff Selection Commission calender of examination for year 2023-24, the notification of SSC JE is expected to be released on notification on 26th of july 2023 for different JE posts and the exam is expected to be held in October 2023 for civil engg., mechanical engg., electrical engg. and Quantity Surveying and Contracts. SSC conducts these exams once every year for the recruitment of Junior Engineers. The details of the exam are given on the page. Check details before you apply

Selection Process   &   Exam Pattern   |   SSC JE 2023

  • Selection process of Junior Engineer by Staff Selection Commision consists :
    • Paper 1 : it is an online computer based exam of 200 multiple choice questions of 200 marks and a negative marking of 0.25 marks per wrong answer.
    • Paper 2: it is an offline written exam of 300 marks with no any negative marking. Only Paper 1 qualified candidates are eligible for this exam.
    • Document Verification: Candidates who has cleared the paper 1 & 2 are called for document verification.
    • Scoring is based on paper 1 & 2 and merit list is listed based on the score of candidates.

  • Duration of exam is 2 hours 40 minutes for candidates who are eligible for scribe.
  • There will be negative marking for each wrong answer. Keep in mind while answering the question.

Document Verification

After clearing the Tier 1 & 2, the eligible candidates will be called for document verification.
Candidates should be ready with soft and hard copies along with original documents for verification.
List of documents to be verified is given below as:
  • 10th Class Mark sheet
  • 12th Class Marksheet
  • Graduation Marksheet
  • Graduation Certificate
  • College leaving Certificate
  • No Objection Certificate
  • PwD Certificate
Final Scores will be calculated based on paper 1 and 2 both. After qualiying tier 1 & 2 and document verification the candidates based on their scores are listed in the merit list.
